Hands-On Training in MIS Techniques

The new AOFAS Basic and Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery Training Course offers both didactic and cadaveric training in foot and ankle MIS techniques.

Space is limited to give each attendee a personalized lab experience. Each attendee will receive their own specimen, and the faculty ratio is 1 faculty to 2 attendees.


Registration Fees

  • AOFAS Members*: $1,700

  • Nonmembers: $2,200


* AOFAS Members must pay 2026 dues prior to registration to receive the member rate. If you need to pay by check, please contact [email protected] to secure your spot in the course. Your registration will be processed when your dues payment is received.

 

Course Eligibility

All attendees must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Medical doctors (MD) or doctors of osteopathy (DO) who have demonstrated their knowledge and training in orthopaedic surgery by obtaining certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS), the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).

  • Medical doctors (MD) or doctors of osteopathy (DO) and graduates of orthopaedic residency programs who are board-eligible and intend to pursue certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS), the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).

  • Orthopaedic surgeons, practicing outside the United States and Canada, who are fully trained and board-certified in their country (where applicable).

  • Medical doctors (MD) or doctors of osteopathy (DO), residing in the United States or Canada, who are currently enrolled in an orthopaedic surgery residency training program or an orthopaedic fellowship program.

 


The American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. AOFAS designates this live activity for a maximum of 16.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME requirements of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery's Maintenance of Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABOS credit.

AOFAS will provide a shuttle from the hotel to the lab each morning, and back to the hotel after the course ends each day.
